SELECTIVE BREEDING
Crickets (Acheta domesticus) from multiple farms throughout the country were mixed and bred for over 60 generations into a special strain called the “American Mix”. This is why our Acheta domestica have less mortality upon delivery and survive longer after they arrive, up to 8 weeks total lifespan with proper care and nutrition. We recommend a temperature range of 70-75F during the day and at night to keep their metabolism and immune system functioning properly. Feeder Crickets are available in sizes ranging from 1 week old baby crickets (3/16 of an inch) to 6 weeks old adults (1 inch) and in quantities starting at 100. I can't believe a company as big as Flukers sends out crickets the way they do. I understand that orders have picked up but sending out what has been sent to me 2 times back to back is embarrassing. This last time I took out 8 handfuls of dead or dried up crickets and still had more to clean out, ridiculous. Time to invest in a better QC team. I'll try 1 more time because I received a credit. We will see.

**Update 4/5/20: I sent them an email same day, they responded in 24hrs with a new free shipment. It arrived with 100 and most were alive! Thanks for the quick fix guys! (rated 2 stars 3/31/20..ish) I ordered 100 crickets and selected the 5-7 day delivery. I received them in 2 days, that surprised me so they get 2 stars for that. We had never ordered before and were pretty confused on how to even open the container, since there is not instructions or anything (don't worry, I figured it out in a min). Once open you could clearly see that there was no where near 100, they were not small like we ordered but large, and of course some flying bugs randomly came out of the package! This is not what we expected from what we thought was a highly ranking pet food source. Not happy with our first order and with the amount of $ it cost and we lost, not worth coming back.
Once I figured out the correct age/size cricket I needed to order, I absolutely love this service! When I buy crickets from the store I water and feed them but I always end up killing A LOT. With Fluker's I leave the crickets in the box secured and very few end up dying. I am genuinely so happy with the convenience. And love the cricket/worm mix option. Thank you guys!!

Ordered crickets on the 12th by priority mail. They didn't get delivered until the 19th. All the crickets were dead but 6. I did call in on day 6 and they shipped another order. They said they would be here by Friday. Waiting to see.
