Soldier Worms are extremely easy to care for and do not require feeding or watering. And because they are naturally high in calcium, there is no need for dusting!
To store, keep them in their lidded cup at room temperature. To keep your worms alive longer than two weeks, move the container to a cooler spot (50-60 degrees). Just make sure to allow them to return to room temperature before offering to your pet.
Offering to Soldiers Worms to Pet Reptile
Make sure orders shipped have the appropriate Soldier Worm size for your specific pet. A good rule of thumb is to choose a larvae size equal to or no larger than the distance between your pet’s eyes.
Sift the live worms from substrate and offer to your pet in a dry bowl. You can adjust the number of worms and frequency of feeding according to your pet’s appetite and size. Monitor your pet while they are eating the Soldier Worms to ensure they are not overeating.
Feeding too much can make pets overweight and cause health problems. Remove extra food from your pet's bowl between meals. This will prevent the worms from burrowing into the bedding and potentially harming your pet.
Additionally, it is important to provide fresh water for your pet to keep them hydrated. Make sure to consistently change their water and clean their water dish to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. By following these simple guidelines, you can ensure that your pet enjoys a healthy and balanced diet with Soldier Worms as a nutritious treat.
Besides watching how much your pet eats, it is crucial to keep their home clean and hygienic for their health. Regularly clean out their habitat and remove any uneaten food to prevent the spread of bacteria and parasites. Providing a clean and comfortable living space will keep your pet healthy and happy.
Monitoring your pet's behavior and appearance can also give you valuable insight into their overall health. Look out for any changes in appetite, energy levels, or physical symptoms that could indicate a health issue. If you notice anything concerning, do not hesitate to consult with a veterinarian for professional advice and guidance. By taking these simple steps, you can help ensure that your pet remains happy, healthy, and thriving.
Soldier Worms can be a good addition to your pet's food in moderation and as part of a balanced diet. To make sure your pet stays healthy, follow these guidelines, and pay attention to their health and behavior. This will help ensure they are getting the right nutrition to thrive.
