SELECTIVE BREEDING
Crickets (Acheta domesticus) from multiple farms throughout the country were mixed and bred for over 60 generations into a special strain called the “American Mix”. This is why our Acheta domestica have less mortality upon delivery and survive longer after they arrive, up to 8 weeks total lifespan with proper care and nutrition.  We recommend a temperature range of 70-75F during the day and at night to keep their metabolism and immune system functioning properly. These insects are a rich source of protein and when gut loaded properly offer many other nutritional benefits to reptiles. Buy your reptile the best feeder insects for sale online today.

OPTIONS
Feeder Crickets are available in sizes ranging from 1 week old baby crickets (3/16 of an inch) to 6 weeks old adults (1 inch) and in quantities starting at 100. Looking for some alternative feeder insects options? We also offer 250ct 4-week-old crickets and 250ct medium mealworms mixed box. This is a great way to help diversify your reptiles live insect diet. When ordering the mix, both will be packaged loose together in the same box. Or consider a special colorful treat of live hornworms. Looking for just mealworms?  Feeding small reptiles or frogs and looking for an alternative to baby crickets? Consider ordering a live Flightless Fruit Flies Culture.

    Dead crickets

When my son just opened our order of crickets there were over half that were dead in the box. Not really sure what to expect. This was my first time ordering live crickets online.

    Way cheaper then PetSmart

    Posted by W J on Jan 23rd 2019

I saw some reviews that said half their crickets arrived dead or all of them were dead but I ordered 1000 crickets in the middle of winter and it took about 3 days to get here and it looked like 90% were still alive. I honestly wouldn’t of cared if half of them were dead because I’m saving a lot vs going to a pet store.

Posted by Jim Fitchett on Nov 13th 2018

Our purchase was 3 days late, nothing to do with Flurer’s Farm, postal service. We received them the day after Veterans Day. When we opened them up there were very few deceased ones. Our boy and his anoles are enjoying them. Thanks !!

    It Wasn’t Pretty

Posted by Elizabeth Schroeder on Oct 17th 2018

I ordered 100 3/4” crickets and they arrived in a timely manner. I opened the canister and dumped them into my cricket keeper to find that approx. half were dead. Now that the crickets are in my cricket keeper I can’t just dig around trying to separate live from dead, it was chaos! No big deal I thought, my gecko is gonna eat these fast anyway. Welp, she did eat them fast but still not fast enough. The cricket corpses created a post apocalyptic environment and bred worms and flying bugs. It was a nightmare and a nightmare I won’t be repeating.

    500 large crickets

Posted by Greg Campos on Sep 20th 2018

I was disappointed about 3 weeks ago when I ordered 500 large and it got here fast from Louisiana to Texas that's why I was disappointed that more than half were dead, believe me they were already prepackaged and were knowingly shipped off dead to me. I took immediate pictures and I counted each dead and each survivor, I had a pile of 257 dead. That's why I I didn't reorder and been buying again at petco but they run out so Im giving fluke another try since I actually did like the size of the ones that made it alive. There are many crickets wholesalers so if Fluker sends me dead ones again, flukers will be dead to me.

    Size is not correct

Posted by Song on Aug 24th 2018

Hi! It is my second order. I was very satisfied my ‘first’ order which 1/2 size with 500 crickets because it was the right size and healthy crickets. But this time I ordered 1000 crickets with 1/2 size which same size as the first one but the size is way smaller than the first order. They are way smaller than 1/2 inches. I am not satisfied about that. Hope to send me the right size crickets for the next time.
