● Naturally high in calcium and protein

● Great supplemental feeder for bearded dragons, geckos, chameleons, turtles, and just about any pet reptile or amphibian

● Easy to manage and packed with nutrients to promote stronger bones and healthy growth

Soldier Worms, the live larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens), are a naturally nutritious, protein-packed, calcium-rich treat for your pet. Their balanced Calcium to Phosphorus ratio is ideal for reptiles (without the need for dusting), and can help prevent Metabolic Bone Disease. They also contain natural antimicrobial properties that may help boost your pet’s immunity. While most flies are considered pests, BSF are actually beneficial to the environment as very efficient decomposers of organic waste and a sustainable source of high-quality protein. Which shipping method should I choose?
We offer a wide variety of options for shipping your live insects. Using the chart above as reference, our customers can choose which shipping service will work best for them. It is important to take into account that transit times vary greatly between the different options. USPS First Class Mail can take up to 7 business days and Fedex Overnight is a one business day in transit service. What works well for some customers will not always work well for others. If it is during the hot summer months or cold winter months we recommend not using USPS First Class Mail because it is the slowest option and increases the risk of receiving your insects DOA. Make sure to check the weather, carefully taking into account transit time and places that your package will travel through. Also important to consider is the price between the shipping methods: USPS First Class Mail is the cheapest, Fedex Priority Overnight is the most expensive with many options in between. We try to provide as much information as possible but it is ultimately up to the customer to make the best choice based on weather and the quality of delivery services available to your area.

    Excellent but...

Posted by Atasha Meyer on Apr 24th 2019

I ordered 500 and I can tell you that is not the amount that was received. Still, I understand getting the right amount by weight or whatever method you use is difficult, so I will continue to order. I don't know why I wasn't purchasing these before. The beardies love them!

    Black Soilder Fly Larvae

Posted by Cali on Nov 9th 2018

Such a great purchase! I buy 1000 every 2 weeks for my bearded dragon and they love them! They are shipped quickly, come the right size and in good packaging, the larvae are easy to care for and to feed to the beardies. No care is needed for the larvae, only thing is that they do turn into black soilder flies in a few weeks if you don’t feed them all fast enough. But this is definitely the best place to purchase black soilder fly larvae from!

    Inconsistent

Posted by Lindsay Schwartz on Sep 25th 2018

My first few orders were great and had appropriately sized larvae, however, I've noticed a decrease in quality and size with my most recent purchases. It's a shame because these are the most affordable BSFL on the market and my beardie loves them but I'm considering looking elsewhere because the Large size product doesn't live up to its name.

    Good- But don't last long

Posted by Corey on Aug 21st 2018

I bought these soldier fly larvae to supplement my geckos while they were laying eggs because they are rich in calcium. They arrived healthy and alive. I placed them in the fridge and within 2 weeks they were all dead. It's not Fluker's fault but they just aren't as easy to keep as mealworms.

    SIZE!

Posted by Madeline Lathrop on Sep 26th 2017

I ordered two different sizes and both times they were the same! My second order was the larger order but only a few of the larvae seems to be close to 1/2", many looked like the one from my small order! I noticed the lid was marked small and relabeled not sure if that's the norm but I'm disappointed. The shipping is great, but the product consistency is questionable. Hopefully they will make it right. Our beardie ignores the tiny worms! :(
