Have you been asking yourself where to buy Dubia Roaches? Fluker Farms has added Dubia Roaches to our live insect product selection! These insects are a popular feeder insect for reptiles, amphibians, and other insect-eating pets. Dubia roaches are native to Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay; from places like Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.
Dubias have an average adult size ranging from 4 to 4.5 cm (1.5 to 1.8 inches). Adult Dubia roaches are sexually dimorphic, meaning they look different from each other during their adult stage. Adult males have fully developed wings, although they rarely fly, while adult females have tiny wing nubs. Nymphs (Juvenile Dubia Roaches) measure approximately ¼ inch. These roaches exhibit a 1.5 to 2-year lifespan and demonstrate prolific reproductive capabilities. Females can produce 20-40 nymphs monthly upon reaching sexual maturity.

Nutrients that come from Dubia Roaches
Dubia roaches, commonly known as feeders or pets, exhibit different nutritional compositions between adults and nymphs. Roaches, both adult and nymphs, have high protein and low- fat content compared to other feeder insects. They also have a soft exoskeleton, making them easy for animals to digest.
Adult Metrics:
- Moisture 58-65%
- Protein 50-56%
- Fat 30-40%
- Ash 3.5-4.2%
Nymph Metrics:
- Moisture 58-60%
- Protein 46-50%
- Fat 43-46%
- Ash 2.4-2.6%
Care for Dubia Roaches
One of the main reasons Dubia roaches are so popular is their ease of care. They are low-maintenance insects that are easy to breed and can be kept in a simple setup. They require little to no special heating or lighting, making them a convenient option for pet owners looking to provide their animals with a nutritious diet.
The best way to store Dubia roaches is to keep them in a container with smooth sides. This prevents them from escaping. Provide roaches with an additional container inside their habitat to give them something to climb and promote growth.
The recommended storage temperature ranges between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, equivalent to 77 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit.
To keep Dubia roaches healthy, clean their cages 1-2 times a week and give them fresh dry, and moist food. Neglecting food replacement could lead to either cannibalism or fungal growth, depending on consumption. If you do not clean the roaches and their cage regularly, other bugs such as mites, flies, or beetles may join them. Keeping the roaches and their cage clean is important to prevent other bugs from moving in.
Dubia Roach Nutrition
Gut Load with calcium powder, the same as you would other feeder insects (mealworms, crickets, hornworms, etc.). Before giving your pet Dubia roaches, Fluker's recommends feeding the roach our High Calcium Dubia Roach diet for 24 hours.
Feeding Your Pets
Many reptile, amphibian, and arachnid owners commonly use Dubia roaches as feeders for their pets. Some examples of animals that eat Dubia roaches include bearded dragons, leopard geckos, tarantulas, and certain species of frogs. Reptile enthusiasts value them for their nutritional content and ease of breeding, making them a popular choice.
Another benefit of Dubia roaches is their long lifespan compared to other feeder insects. They can live for several months, allowing pet owners to keep a colony of roaches on hand for a long time. This benefit can save money overall, as it eliminates the need to constantly purchase new feeder insects.
In general, Dubia roaches are a viable choice for pet owners who want to give their animals a healthy diet. They are an easy-to-use, nutritious, and affordable feeder insect option. Feeding with Dubia roaches is an excellent way to ensure your cold-blooded friend is getting the nutrients they need to thrive.

When will my Dubia Roach order ship?
We ship orders Monday-Friday depending on the items ordered and the shipping method selected on checkout. We do not ship on Saturday or Sunday.
Which shipping method should I choose? We offer a wide variety of options for shipping your live insects. Using the chart above as a reference, our customers can choose which shipping service will work best for them.
Please consider that transit times vary between the different options. USPS First Class Mail may take up to 7 business days and overnight is a one business day in transit service.
What works well for some customers will not always work well for others. If it is during the sizzling summer months or frosty winter months, we do not recommend using USPS Ground Advantage because it is the slowest option and increases the risk of receiving your insects DOA. Check the weather, carefully considering transit time and places your package will travel through.
Also important to consider is the price between the shipping methods: USPS Ground Advantage is the cheapest, and overnight is the most expensive with many options in between depending on the season. We try to provide as much information as possible, but it is up to the customer to make the best choice based on the weather and the quality of delivery services available to your area.
