Superworms (Zophobas Morio), also known as King Worms are a darkling beetle larvae used largely as feed for reptiles, birds, fish, and chickens. Superworms are not to be confused with Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor). Order mealworms here. Superworms are much larger, have a hard exoskeleton, and do not need to be refrigerated. In fact, refrigeration will kill Superworms. Superworms are also often confused as being bigger giant mealworms. Superworms do not contain growth hormones to prevent pupation like the giant mealworms do. In order to prevent pupation for superworms, you must keep them with other larvae. I have ordered from flukers twice now first time I got 500 mealworms and 100 super worms I was so impressed with the size and health of the superworms I ordered again and got 250 super impressed again. From now on I will only order from flukers. Not buying from the pet store again.
It seems like now everything is going up. $12 for only 100? A tad bit steep if you ask me. Much like everyone else around their prices are outrageous. I will be looking elsewhere while my order is being shipped. I suggest everyone else do the same.

This is the first time I have ever ordered superworms online for my adult bearded dragon. I'm glad I did! All 250 of them appear to be fat, healthy, and alive. I took a little risk with the live arrival guarantee. It was about 30 degrees when they came. They were a little chilly when I opened the box but they soon warmed up and were very lively. This is definitely a better deal than running to a pet store and only getting a cup of 50 for like $7. 250 for $12 is way better and it will last my beardie weeks. I'll be ordering more!
