Whether you’re ordering crickets, dubia roaches, mealworms, hornworms, or other live feeders, our goal is to help ensure your insects arrive safely, even during challenging weather conditions.
What Is the Live Arrival Guarantee?
Fluker’s guarantees live delivery on feeder insect orders under approved shipping conditions. If there’s an issue with your shipment, our team works to help make it right through replacement or account credit at our discretion.
This policy exists because feeder insects are live animals, and environmental conditions like temperature and transit time can affect their health during shipping.
Seasonal Shipping Protection
Spring, Summer & Fall Shipping
During normal seasonal conditions, Fluker’s guarantees live delivery on feeder insect shipments. Customers have up to 2 business days after delivery to report any issues.
To help protect your insects during warmer months:
• Bring packages indoors as soon as possible
• Avoid leaving shipments outside in direct sunlight
• Choose faster shipping methods during extreme heat
• Inspect your order immediately upon arrival
Winter Shipping Policy
Cold weather can be especially challenging for live insect shipments. While many insect suppliers stop shipping altogether during freezing temperatures, Fluker’s offers flexible options so customers can choose what works best for them.
Guaranteed Temperatures
Fluker’s guarantees live delivery when temperatures remain at or above 16°F at both the destination and regional sorting facilities during transit.
When Temperatures Reach 0–15°F
Customers can choose between two shipping options:
Ship Without Guarantee (SWG)
This option allows orders to ship in colder conditions between 0–15°F, but live arrival is not guaranteed. Orders shipped under SWG orders are not eligible for refunds or replacements if insects arrive deceased.
Hold For Weather (HFW)
Orders may be held for up to 7 days while waiting for safer shipping temperatures. If weather conditions do not improve after 7 days, the order may be canceled and refunded.
Choosing the Best Shipping Method
Transit time matters when shipping live insects. Faster delivery options often provide the safest experience during temperature extremes. Fluker’s offers several shipping methods, standard and UPS Priority options, so customers can select the option best suited for their region and weather conditions.
During hotter or colder months, slower methods like our standard option may increase the risk of delays or DOA (Dead on Arrival) insects.
How to Submit a Claim
If there’s an issue with your feeder order: 1. Inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery 2. Contact Fluker’s within 2 business days 3. Submit a claim through the Credit Request Form or contact customer support
