May 13th 2019

Fluker Farms announced today that its dry product division has obtained SQF Level 1 Quality Certification. The production facility, located in Port Allen, LA, manufactures and packages premium reptile and hermit crab food.

"We have had a thorough food safety and quality program in place for many years," explained Product Director Waco HItt, "And this SQF certification goes another step forward in validating our ongoing committment to customers as a leading manufacturer in this industry."

"I would like to thank Christopher Gros, our Quality Assurance Supervisor, for spearheading the continuous SQF certification process. We are already in the process of becoming a Level 2-certified facility by 2020," added Hitt.

The SQF Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and links primary production certification to food manufacturing, distribution, and agent/broker management certification. The goal of the SQF system is to deliver consistent, globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles.
