SELECTIVE BREEDING
Crickets (Acheta domesticus) from multiple farms throughout the country were mixed and bred for over 60 generations into a special strain called the “American Mix”. This is why our Acheta domestica have less mortality upon delivery and survive longer after they arrive, up to 8 weeks total lifespan with proper care and nutrition. We recommend a temperature range of 70-75F during the day and at night to keep their metabolism and immune system functioning properly. Feeder Crickets are available in sizes ranging from 1 week old baby crickets (3/16 of an inch) to 6 weeks old adults (1 inch) and in quantities starting at 100. I got the 2 week old Crickets this time instead of the 1 week for my other 2 month old bearded dragon and these are bigger and he likes these allot. I may try the 3 week old Crickets later but these are very good for now. The crickets look healthy and they were all alive expect just a few. The packing was great and super fast shipping. Thanks!
We bought 1000 crickets. When they arrived about half of them are dead. We expected this which is why we ordered such a high amount. We use roughly 40 crickets a day which equals 240 in 6 days. We should have over 200 left and we I have about 20 left. They did not send the correct amount. When I contacted customer service they were useless. DO NOT BUY!
These came the day expected and packaged very well. They are very small for the 1 week old Crickets but my tiny baby bearded dragon loves them and easy to eat. The price is allot cheaper then most places I went to and satisfied with purchase. Thanks!
After many successful orders, I received an order where all my crickets arrived dead. I contacted customer service, and they immediately issued a refund. I used the refund to place another order which came quickly and full of healthy, live crickets.
I have had to start ordering 500 count boxes due to 1/4-1/3 bring dead upon arrival. As disappointing as this is the cost of Flucker Farms crickets are still cheaper than going to our local pet store as well as the added convenience of not running to the store every two weeks. Which is why I give 3 stars (average)
I ordered 1000 crickets from Fluker's, but I only got about 750
Each week is a struggle to get crickets as they are arriving dead almost every time now with the USPS shipping and the FedEx shipping option is not affordable. Waiting on replacement orders was ok at first, but when my crickets are now arriving dead on Friday and customer service is conveniently closed all weekend I can't even get the replacements in a timely manner anymore and my pets are going hungry, which is not acceptable. Doesn't look like Flukers is ever going to get the issues with USPS worked out, yet USPS is the only affordable shipping option offered. Extremely disappointed that after being a customer for almost two years, Flukers cannot provide reliable service anymore and it looks like I will have to switch suppliers.
Ordered 100 small crickets and received an empty container, but the following week they shipped new ones - the crickets were alive and the quantity was good.
